About The Authors

Alan G. Thomas worked for the Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, MD from 2010-2017, involved in its Financial Improvement Program. Prior to that, Alan provided financial and management advisory services for twenty years to a variety of consumer product and health care organizations. Prior to starting his consulting practice in 1984, Alan had fifteen years of operations-oriented financial management experience, including seven years as CFO for two national, multi-location companies. He has a MBA in Organizational Development from Babson College and a BSBA from Northeastern University.

Larry Kennedy managed executive-level market research, business intelligence, and strategic planning programs for EMC Corporation, Impole Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation, after beginning his marketing career with The Gillette Company. For several years Larry was Adjunct Professor for DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management. Larry holds an MBA and a Certification in Entrepreneurship from Babson College and for over 15 years mentored Babson MBA candidates and undergraduate students in its coaching programs.

Ralph L. LoVuolo was the Founder of The Meadows Group in Dennis, MA. For fifteen years, his firm provided financial and management advisory services to a wide range of companies in the manufacturing, retail and service industries. Ralph's unique experience provided him with a keen insight into what can go wrong with good companies and business ideas. Prior to that, Ralph had twenty-five years of management experience, including fifteen years as VP of Operations and Finance for two large, manufacturing and retail companies. He has a broad background in operations, finance, marketing and sales.
